World Wildlife Fund were looking for an inspiring animation to promote their LiveWell for LIFE campaign. The campaign is aimed at influential stakeholders within the European food industry and the goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the EU, by changing the way food is produced and consumed. WWF wanted the animation to reflect their down-to-earth values and the essential message of the campaign in both style and content.
World Wildlife Fund were looking for an inspiring animation that also reflected their down-to-earth values, to promote their LiveWell for LIFE campaign.
The campaign was aimed at influential stakeholders within the food industry. The goal: to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the EU, by changing the way food is produced and consumed.
What did we do?
Narrated by the marvellous Alistair MacGowan, our finished film uses food as a fun metaphor for both the scale of the problem and the simplicity of the solution.
A meaty multi-layered sandwich highlights the depth of the environmental problems caused by food production and eating habits in Europe. Meanwhile, a community of happy peas, bouncing beans, and energetic olives show how, by making small changes to our diet, we can make a positive difference to the environment, our health and happiness.
We used paper craft animation to create the film, and made it in low poly 3D, giving it a unique style.
The WWF team were delighted with the finished film, which they felt was both informative and inspiring. Our animation will now be used as their sole visual communication tool throughout the LiveWell campaign.
